1 On and from the date on which a project’s development plan becomes operative, Kāinga Ora has the water-related infrastructure powers in relation to existing, and new, water-related infrastructure—a) within the project area; andb) outside the project area, but only to the extent that existing, or new, water-related infrastructure connects to or services (or will connect to or service) the project area.
2 In the case of private land, the exercise of the water-related infrastructure powers is subject to the Public Works Act 1981 as to compensation for injurious affection to land.
