A Bill for
An Act to appropriate additional money for the purposes of the Territory
for the financial year that began on 1 July 2001
The Legislative Assembly for the Australian Capital Territory enacts as
follows:
1 Name of Act
This Act is the Appropriation Act 2001- 2002 (No 3).
2 Commencement
This Act commences on the day after its notification day.
Note The naming and commencement provisions automatically commence
on the notification day (see Legislation Act 2001, s 75).
3 Purposes
This Act is made for the purposes of—
(a) the Australian Capital Territory (Self-Government) Act 1988
(Cwlth), sections 57 and 58; and
(b) the Financial Management Act 1996, section 6.
4 Definitions for Act
In this Act:
financial year means the year that began on 1 July
2001.
relevant appropriation unit means—
(a) for a department other than ACT Forests—the appropriation unit
mentioned in the Appropriation Act 2001-2002 (No 2), schedule 1, column 2
for the department; or
(b) for ACT Forests—the appropriation unit mentioned in the
Appropriation Act 2001-2002, schedule 1, part 14, column 2.
5 Words and expressions used in Financial Management
Act
A word or expression used in the Financial Management Act 1996 has
the same meaning in this Act.
6 Additional appropriations of $19 495
000
(1) The amount of $1 886 000 is appropriated to the Chief
Minister’s Department for additional net cost of outputs in the financial
year for the relevant appropriation unit.
(2) The amount of $2 380 000 is appropriated to the Chief
Minister’s Department for additional capital injection in the financial
year for the relevant appropriation unit.
(3) The amount of $5 587 000 is appropriated to the Department
of Treasury for additional payments to be made on behalf of the Territory in the
financial year for the relevant appropriation unit.
(4) The amount of $2 785 000 is appropriated to the Department
of Urban Services for additional net cost of outputs in the financial year for
the relevant appropriation unit.
(5) The amount of $150 000 is appropriated to the Department of Urban
Services for additional capital injection in the financial year for the relevant
appropriation unit.
(6) The amount of $27 000 is appropriated to the Department of Urban
Services for additional payments to be made on behalf of the Territory in the
financial year for the relevant appropriation unit.
(7) The amount of $2 270 000 is appropriated to the Department
of Justice and Community Safety for additional net cost of outputs in the
financial year for the relevant appropriation unit.
(8) The amount of $1 507 000 is appropriated to the Department
of Education and Community Services for additional net cost of outputs in the
financial year for the relevant appropriation unit.
(9) The amount of $2 603 000 is appropriated to the Department
of Education and Community Services for additional payments to be made on behalf
of the Territory in the financial year for the relevant appropriation
unit.
(10) The amount of $300 000 is appropriated to ACT Forests for
additional capital injection in the financial year for the relevant
appropriation unit.
