(1) Subject to subsection (2), the State central authority for the ACT—
(a) has all the duties of a central authority under the Convention; and
(b) may exercise all of the powers of a central authority under the Convention.
(2) The functions of the State central authority for the ACT do not include any functions that are functions of the Commonwealth central authority under the Family Law (Hague Convention on Intercountry Adoption) Regulations 1998
(Cwlth).
