DOMESTIC ANIMALS ACT 2000 - SECT 53E

Offence—failure to comply with control order

    (1)     A person commits an offence if the person—

        (a)     is a keeper or carer of a dog; and

        (b)     is issued with, or given a copy of, a control order for the dog; and

        (c)     does not comply with the control order.

Maximum penalty: 50 penalty units.

    (2)     An offence against this section is a strict liability offence.
