Australian Capital Territory Numbered Acts Australian Capital Territory Numbered Acts27. (1) For the purposes of a hearing, the Registrar may summon a party, or the representative of a party, to appear as a witness before him or her on a date, and at the place, specified in the summons.
(2) A summons shall be—
(a) in writing; and
(b) served on the person named in the summons.
(3) A person served with a summons under subsection (1) shall not, without reasonable excuse, fail to comply with the summons.
Penalty for contravention of subsection (3): $5,000 or imprisonment for 6 months, or both.
