WORKING WITH VULNERABLE PEOPLE (BACKGROUND CHECKING) ACT 2011 (NO. 44 OF 2011) - SECT 56

    (1)     A person commits an offence if—

        (a)     the person is registered; and

        (b)     the person's name or address changes; and

        (c)     the person does not tell the commissioner in writing of the change within 10 working days after the day the change happens.

Maximum penalty: 10 penalty units.

Note     If a form is approved under s 69 for this provision, the form must be used.

    (2)     An offence against this section is a strict liability offence.
