Unlawful Games (Amendment) Ordinance 1987

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Ordinance under the Seat of Government (Administration) Act 1910.

An Ordinance to amend the Unlawful Games Ordinance 1984

Short title

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Unlawful Games (Amendment) Ordinance 1987.1

Commencement

2. This Ordinance shall come into operation on such date as is fixed by the Minister of State for Territories by notice in the Gazette.

Unlawful machines

3. Section 8 of the Unlawful Games Ordinance 19842 is amended:

(a) by omitting subsection (1) and substituting the following subsection:

“(1) All unlawful machines, other than machines installed on premises in accordance with the Gaming Machine Ordinance 1987, are forfeited to the Commonwealth.”; and

(b) by omitting from subsection (2) “Poker Machine Control Ordinance 1975” and substituting “Gaming Machine Ordinance 1987”.
