Commonwealth Consolidated Regulations Commonwealth Consolidated Regulations(1) Subsection ( 2) applies in relation to a person who :
(a) holds a certificate of registration for an aircraft under the Civil Aviation Safety Regulations 1998 ; or
(b) operates an aircraft.
(2) The Secretary may, by written notice give n to the person, require the person to give the Secretary any specified statistical information that the person possesses , or is reasonably able to obtain, in relation to any of the following :
(a) the aircraft;
(b) passengers or cargo carried on the aircraft;
(c) work performed using the aircraft;
(d ) flights made by the aircraft.
(3) The notice must specify a reasonable period with in which the person must provide the information to the Secretary . The period must end at least 7 days after the day the notice is given.
