PUBLIC SERVICE REFORM ACT 1984 No. 63, 1984 - SECT 4

4. After section 5 of the Principal Act the following section is inserted:
Chief object of Act

''6. The chief object of this Act is to constitute a public service for the
efficient, equitable and proper conduct, in accordance with sound management
practices (including personnel management practices), of the public
administration of the Australian Government and this Act shall be construed
accordingly.''.
