1996 No. 298 PETROLEUM (SUBMERGED LANDS) (MANAGEMENT OF SAFETY ON OFFSHORE FACILITIES) REGULATIONS - REG 28

Vessel and aircraft control
28. (1) Subject to subregulation (2), the Safety Case in respect of a facility
must specify a system for the operation of the facility that ensures, as far
as reasonably practicable, the safe performance of the operations in relation
to the facility that involve vessels or aircraft.

(2) The system must be able to meet the emergency response requirements
identified in the Formal Safety Assessment in relation to the facility and be
described in the facility's Safety Management  System.

(3) The equipment and procedures for ensuring safe vessel and aircraft
operations must be fit for purpose. 
[NOTE: All of the provisions in this Division apply to operators; however, only subr. 29 (1) applies to titleholders.]
