(1) A person accused of an offence may apply to a court or authorised justice for bail for the offence to be granted or dispensed with.
(2) An application under this section is a
"release application" .
(3) A court or authorised justice may, after hearing the release application--(a) dispense with bail, or(b) grant bail (with or without the imposition of bail conditions), or(c) refuse bail.
(4) If a bail decision has already been made, a court or authorised justice may, after hearing the release application--(a) affirm the bail decision, or(b) vary the bail decision.
