CIVIL PROCEDURE ACT 2005 - SECT 18A
Interest and dividends on money paid into court
18A Interest and dividends on money paid into court
(1) A registrar of a court must-- (a) deduct 2.5% from an amount received as
interest or a dividend on funds paid into court, including a fund constituted
by the Supreme Court under section 178 for the distribution of money to
group members in representative proceedings, and
(b) pay the deducted amount
into the Consolidated Fund.
(2) A reference in subsection (1) to a registrar
is, in relation to the Supreme Court, a reference to-- (a) the Principal
Registrar of the Court, or
(b) another registrar of the Court nominated by
the Principal Registrar.
