Application of Regulation

5 Application of Regulation

(1) This Regulation applies to the following kinds of cathodic protection systems, namely cross bonds, railway drainage bonds, galvanic anode systems and impressed current systems.
(2) This Regulation does not apply to a galvanic anode system that has been installed to protect:
(a) a compact structure, but only so long as the maximum current flowing though the system does not exceed 150 milliamperes, or
(b) any other primary structure, but only so long as the maximum current flowing though the system does not exceed 150 milliamperes for each 500 metres of the length of the structure along its greatest dimension.
