Northern Territory Consolidated Acts Northern Territory Consolidated Acts(1) Subject to subsection (2), an order under section 8 operates as if it were a codicil to the will of the deceased person executed by the deceased person immediately before his death.
(2) An order under section 8 in relation to property of a deceased person who died intestate operates as a modification of the provisions of Division 4 of Part III of the Administration and Probate Act 1969 in their application to that property.
