Northern Territory Numbered Regulations Northern Territory Numbered Regulations(1) A person conducting a business or undertaking at a workplace must ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, that a lead process area at the workplace is kept clean.
Maximum penalty:
(a) in the case of an individual – $6 000.
(b) in the case of a body corporate – $30 000.

Strict liability applies to each physical element of this offence. See section 12B of the Act.
(2) The person must ensure that the methods used to clean a lead process area:
(a) do not create a risk to the health of persons in the immediate vicinity of the area; and
(b) do not have the potential to spread the contamination of lead.
