WORK HEALTH AND SAFETY (NATIONAL UNIFORM LEGISLATION) REGULATIONS (NO 59 OF 2011) - REG 469

An asbestos removalist must ensure that:

(a)     signs alerting persons to the presence of asbestos are placed to indicate where the asbestos removal work is being carried out; and

(b)     barricades are erected to delineate the asbestos removal area.

Maximum penalty:

(a)     in the case of an individual – $6 000.

(b)     in the case of a body corporate – $30 000.
