Obstructing authorised officer

194 Obstructing authorised officer

(1) A person must not obstruct an authorised officer in the performance of a function or the exercise of a power under this Act, unless the person has a reasonable excuse.
Penalty—
Maximum penalty—165 penalty units.
(2) If a person has obstructed an authorised officer and the officer decides to proceed with the performance of the function or the exercise of the power, the officer must warn the person that—
(a) it is an offence to obstruct the officer, unless the person has a reasonable excuse; and
(b) the officer considers the person’s conduct is an obstruction.
(3) In this section—

"obstruct" includes assault, hinder, intimidate, resist and attempt or threaten to obstruct.
