RECREATION AREAS MANAGEMENT ACT 2006 - SECT 217
Camping tag must be available
217 Camping tag must be available
(1) The chief executive must make camping tags available in an accessible and
conspicuous position in or near each e-permit camping area.
(2) Each tag must
include a space for the person to write the details prescribed under a
regulation.
(3) The chief executive must ensure a person who has applied, or
intends to apply, for a camping permit for an e-permit camping area is given
notice of the locations where camping tags are available for the area.
(4)
Without limiting subsection (3) , the chief executive must— (a) publish on
the department’s website the locations where camping tags are available for
the area; and
(b) for a camping permit granted under section 37 (2) —ensure
the written notice given under that section includes the locations where
camping tags are available for the e-permit camping area to which the permit
relates; and
(c) for a camping permit granted under section 37 (3) — ensure
the person to whom the permit is granted is advised of the locations where
camping tags are available for the e-permit camping area to which the permit
relates.
