When chief executive (child safety) must refer child protection matter
15 When chief executive (child safety) must refer child protection matter
(1) This section applies— (a) if the chief executive (child safety) is
satisfied— (i) a child is a child in need of protection; and
(ii) a child
protection order is appropriate and desirable for the child’s protection; or
(b) if— (i) a child protection order, other than an interim order, is in
force for the child; and
(ii) the chief executive (child safety) is satisfied
the order is no longer appropriate and desirable for the child’s protection.
(2) The chief executive (child safety) must refer the matter (a
"child protection matter" ) to the director.
(3) In this section—
"interim order" means an interim order under the Child Protection Act 1999 ,
section 67 in relation to a proceeding for a child protection order.
