TRANSPORT OPERATIONS (ROAD USE MANAGEMENT--DANGEROUS GOODS) REGULATION 2018 - REG 5
Matters prescribed for particular exempt transport—Act, s 151
5 Matters prescribed for particular exempt transport—Act, s 151
(1) For section 151 (2)(b)(ii) of the Act , the prescribed quantity for each
type of dangerous goods is the quantity stated in section 1 .1.1.2, note
(3)(a), table 1.1.1.2 of the ADG Code for that type.
(2) For section 151
(2)(c)(i)(A) of the Act , the capacity prescribed is 500L.
(3) For
section 151 (2)(c)(i)(B) of the Act , the quantity prescribed for a
receptacle is 500kg.
(4) For section 151 (2)(c)(ii) of the Act , the
following are prescribed as designated dangerous goods— (a) dangerous goods
of UN class 1 (explosives), other than dangerous goods of UN division 1.4 S;
(b) dangerous goods of category A of UN division 6.2 (infectious substances);
(c) dangerous goods of UN class 7 (radioactive material).
(5) For
section 151 (2)(c)(iii) of the Act , the aggregate quantity of dangerous
goods in a load must be worked out in the way provided for under schedule 3 ,
definition
"aggregate quantity" .
(6) In this section—
"type" , of dangerous goods, means a class or division of dangerous goods
provided for in the ADG Code.
