The Parliament of South Australia enacts as
follows:
This Act may be cited as the Controlled Substances (Simple Possession
Offences) Amendment Act 2014.
This Act will come into operation 4 weeks after the day on which it is
assented to by the Governor.
In this Act, a provision under a heading referring to the amendment of a
specified Act amends the Act so specified.
Part 2—Amendment
of Controlled Substances
Act 1984
Section 34—delete the section and substitute:
34—Application of Division
This Division does not apply in relation to—
(a) a child who is alleged to have committed a simple possession offence;
or
(b) a person who is alleged to have committed a simple possession offence
and who has, on 2 or more previous occasions, been referred for assessment
under this Division.
