17—Functions of Trust
(1) Subject to this
Act, the functions of the Trust are—
(a) to
acquire, hold and deal with Trust Land in accordance with this Act for the
ongoing benefit of Aboriginal South Australians; and
(b) to
manage Trust Land in accordance with this and any other relevant Act or law;
and
(c) to
engage in commercial and other activities in accordance with this Act for the
ongoing benefit of Aboriginal South Australians; and
(d) to
consult for the purposes of this Act; and
(e) to
advise the Minister in relation to matters related to the Trust; and
(f) to
carry out other functions assigned to the Trust under this or any other Act or
by the Minister.
(2) In performing a
function under this Act, the Trust must have regard to, and seek to give
effect to, the principles set out in section 6.
