25—Continuance of President in office after dissolution or retirement
(1) If the President
of the Legislative Council vacates his or her seat by periodical retirement,
or by reason of the dissolution of the Council, he or she shall nevertheless
be and be deemed to be, the President of the Council until the next meeting of
Parliament, unless he or she is not re-elected a member of the Council.
(2) This section shall
not enable any person continued in the office of President by this section to
preside at any meeting of the Legislative Council.
