(1) The chief officer
of an issuing agency must cancel evidence of an assumed identity produced by
the agency if directed in writing to do so by the chief officer for the time
being of the law enforcement agency that requested the evidence be produced.
(2) In this
section—
"cancel" includes delete or alter an entry in a record of information.
