81I—Offence to disclose information
(1) A person to whom
information is disclosed under section 81E or 81F must not disclose
the information to any other person except for the purposes of, or in
connection with, the taking and determination of legal proceedings by the
person against the prisoner concerned.
Maximum penalty: $10 000.
(2) A person (other
than a person to whom information is disclosed under section 81E or
81F) who becomes aware of any information disclosed to a person under either
of those sections must not use that information or disclose it to any person.
Maximum penalty: $10 000.
(3) Nothing in
subsection (1) prevents a person from disclosing information to a lawyer
in the course of consulting the lawyer for legal advice.
(4)
Subsections (1) and (2) do not apply to information that is in the
public domain.
