64—Proof of matters of history, science etc
All courts may, in matters of public history, literature, science, or art,
refer, for the purposes of evidence, to such published books, calendars, maps,
or charts as such courts consider to be of authority on the subjects to which
they respectively relate: Provided that nothing herein contained shall be
deemed to require any such court to accept or act upon any such evidence when
tendered, unless it thinks fit.
