(1) If a candidate for
whom eligible votes were given in an election dies, a payment under this
Division in respect of the eligible votes given for the candidate may be made
despite the death of the candidate.
(2) If a candidate
referred to in subsection (1) was not endorsed by a
registered political party, any amount payable to the candidate may be paid to
the legal personal representative of the candidate.
(3) If a member of a
group for whom eligible votes were given in a Legislative Council election
dies, a payment under this Division in respect of the eligible votes given for
the group may be made notwithstanding the death of the member and, if—
(a) the
group was not a group the members of which were endorsed by a
registered political party or by registered political parties; and
(b) the
candidate was the agent of the group for the purposes of this Part,
the payment may be made to another member of the group as if the other member
were the agent of the group for the purposes of this Part.
