South Australian Current Acts South Australian Current Acts (1) Subject to
subsection (2), a natural person is not required to give information or
produce a document under this Part if the answer to the question or the
contents of the document would tend to incriminate the person of an offence.
(2) If an
authorised officer informs a natural person required to give information or
produce a document under this Part that the requirement is made for the
administration or enforcement of Part 6 relating to the safety of electricity
infrastructure, an electrical installation or electrical equipment, and the
information or document would tend to incriminate the person of an offence,
the person must nevertheless give the information or produce the document, but
the information or document so given or produced will not be admissible in
evidence against the person in proceedings for an offence (other than an
offence relating to the making of a false or misleading statement or
declaration).
