(1) Subject to this
Act, a person holding office as a justice immediately before the commencement
of this clause will continue in office from that commencement until the end of
the period prescribed by the Minister by notice in the Gazette in relation to
that justice.
(2) A justice
continuing in office under this clause may apply for appointment under this
Act.
