39V—Application of Act to children
(1) Subject to this
section, this Act applies in relation to a child in the same way as it applies
to an adult.
(2) A control order
may not be made in relation to a child who is under 16 years of age.
(3) If a control order
relating to a child who is of or over 16 years of age is made, varied or
revoked, the Commissioner must, as soon as reasonably practicable, give
written notice of the making of the order or of the variation or revocation
(as the case may be) to—
(a) a
parent or guardian of the child, if the Commissioner is able to find a parent
or guardian of the child after making reasonable attempts; and
(b) any
other prescribed person or person of a prescribed class.
(4) In this
section—
"child" means a person under 18 years of age.
