This legislation has been repealed.
(1) Proceedings for an
offence against this Act—
(a) may
only be commenced by—
(i)
the Minister; or
(ii)
the Director of Public Prosecutions; or
(iii)
the Chief Officer; or
(iv)
a State authorised officer; or
(v)
a person acting with the authorisation in writing of the
Minister; and
(b) must
be commenced within 5 years after the date on which the offence is alleged to
have been committed.
(2) An apparently
genuine document purporting to be under the hand of the Minister and to
authorise the commencement of proceedings under this Act must be accepted in
legal proceedings, in the absence of proof to the contrary, as proof of the
authorisation.
