           CROWN LANDS (SHACK SITES) BILL 2010

                           Clause notes


Clause 1     Title

Clause 2     Commencement
             This Act will commence on 1 September 2010. If Royal assent is
             not received on or before that date, the Act is taken to
             commence on 1 September 2010.

Clause 3     Principal Act
             The principle Act is the Crown Lands (Shack Sites ) Act1997.


Clause 4     Repeal of s 17 and substitution
             Section 17 which sets lease rental at 6% of the land value of the
             shack site, is repealed and replaced by a provision that rental for
             a lease is rental as prescribed in the regulations or determined
             by the application of any rate, formula or other method set out in
             the regulations.

Clause 5     Repeal of Act
             Automatically repeals this Amendment Act and incorporates it
             into the Principle Act ninety days from commencement.
