CLAUSE NOTES
Redundant Legislation Repeal Bill 2016
Clause 1: Short title
Sets out the name of the proposed Act.
Clause 2: Commencement
This clause states the Act is to commence on the day on which it receives the Royal Consent.
Clause 3: Repeal of the Act
This clause sets out the Act shall be repealed one year from the day on which it commences.
Clause 4: Legislation repealed
This clause identifies that Schedule 1 lists the legislation that is to be repealed by the Act.
Clause 5: Legislation rescinded
This clause identifies that Schedule 2 lists the legislation that is to be rescinded by the Act.
Clause 6: Legislation revoked
This clause identifies that Schedule 3 lists the legislation that is to be revoked by the Act.
