A safety case for gas infrastructure is to bear a certificate from an auditor approved by the Director certifying that (a) the safety case complies with these regulations; and(b) the safety case is appropriate having regard to the size and complexity of the infrastructure (subject to any exemptions granted by the Director); and(c) all measures intended to prevent hazardous events identified in the safety case from occurring, and intended to protect operating personnel, plant, equipment, the community and the environment, should they occur, are in place; and(d) there are properly trained and equipped personnel available to implement the emergency procedures set out in the safety case; and(e) the licensee has, as far as is practicable, carried into effect the provisions of the safety case.
