(1) The holder of a driver licence or an ancillary certificate must, in accordance with subregulation (2) , return the licence or ancillary certificate to the Registrar for endorsement or replacement if (a) the conditions of the licence or ancillary certificate are changed by the Registrar or by order of a court; or(b) any information included in the licence or ancillary certificate needs, in the Registrar's opinion, to be corrected or changed.Penalty: Fine not exceeding 10 penalty units.(2) The driver licence or ancillary certificate must be returned within 21 days after the service of (a) a notice of variation of the licence or ancillary certificate; or(b) the Registrar's written request for return of the licence or ancillary certificate for endorsement or replacement.(3) A person is not in breach of a requirement to return a driver licence or an ancillary certificate under this regulation (a) if within the period for compliance with the requirement the person produces evidence to the Registrar's satisfaction that the licence or ancillary certificate has been lost, stolen or destroyed; or(b) if the Registrar waives compliance with the requirement.
