(1) A quorum for a
meeting of the Legal Services and Complaints Committee is 3 members, of whom
—
(a) 2
are legal members; and
(b) 1 is
a community representative.
(2) Subsection (3)
applies if —
(a) an
investigation by the Legal Services and Complaints Committee under the Legal
Profession Uniform Law (WA) Chapter 5 has commenced; and
(b)
either —
(i)
a Legal Services and Complaints Committee member present
at that commencement fails to continue to participate in the proceedings; or
(ii)
because a community representative fails to continue to
participate in the proceedings, no quorum can be convened.
(3) The determination
of the matter may be completed by the remaining members.
