(1) A driver who
intends to turn, is turning or has turned, right at an intersection with
traffic‑control signals must give way to any oncoming vehicle that is
going straight ahead or turning left at the intersection (except a vehicle
turning left using a slip lane).

(2) A driver who
intends to turn, is turning or has turned, left at an intersection with
traffic‑control signals and a “left turn on red after
stopping” sign must give way to any vehicle approaching from the right,
turning right at the intersection into the carriageway the driver is entering
or making a U turn at the intersection.

(3) A driver turning
to the right or left (except a driver turning left using a slip lane) at an
intersection with traffic‑control signals must give way to any
pedestrian or relevant rider who is crossing the carriageway, or part of the
carriageway, the driver is entering.

Subregulation (1) does not apply to a driver turning right at an
intersection in accordance with a green traffic arrow.
