(1) The Complaints
Committee may apply to the State Administrative Tribunal for —
(a) an
order that an Australian legal practitioner’s local practising
certificate be suspended for a specified period; or
(b) an
order that specified conditions be imposed on an Australian legal
practitioner’s practising certificate restricting the entitlement of an
Australian legal practitioner to practise for a specified period,
pending —
(c)
investigation, and determination or referral of a complaint or matter, by the
Complaints Committee; or
(d) the
hearing of a referral by the State Administrative Tribunal; or
(e) an
appeal against a decision of the State Administrative Tribunal.
(2) On an application
under subsection (1), the State Administrative Tribunal may, in addition
to or instead of any other order it may make under subsection (1), make
an order under Part 14 as if the application were an application by the
Board.
