ROAD TRAFFIC AMENDMENT ACT 2006 (NO. 54 OF 2006) - SECT 17

17 .         Section 64A amended and related amendments

        (1)         Section 64A(1) is amended by deleting “Except as provided in subsection (2), a person” and inserting instead —

                “ A person to whom this subsection applies ”.

        (2)         Section 64A(2) is amended by deleting all of the subsection before paragraph (c) and inserting instead —

“
        (2)         Subsection (1) applies to a person who —

            (a)         holds a provisional licence;

            (b)         if an Australian driver licence could be granted to the person, could only obtain a provisional licence;

”.

        (3)         Each provision specified in the Table to this subsection is amended by deleting “64A” and inserting instead —

                “ 64A(1) ”.
