Section 5(1)(a) and (b) are deleted and the following paragraphs are
inserted instead —
“
(a) act as a driving instructor in respect of a motor
vehicle, unless authorised to do so by a licence or permit held by the person;
(b)
advertise, notify or state that the person acts or is willing to act as a
driving instructor unless —
(i)
the advertisement, notification or statement specifies
the kinds of motor vehicle, and the kinds of use of them, for which the person
acts or is willing to act as a driving instructor; and
(ii)
the person holds a licence or permit authorising the
person to act as specified;
”.
(2) Section 5(2)
is amended by deleting paragraph (a) and “or” after it and
inserting instead —
“
(a) did not hold an appropriate licence or permit;
or
”.
(3) Section 5(3)
is amended by deleting “Commissioner of Police” and inserting
instead —
“ Director General ”.
