New Victorian Law Reform Commissioner

Victoria's new Law Reform Commissioner is Professor Louis Waller, the Sir Leo Cussen Professor of Law at Monash University. Professor Waller succeeds Sir John Minogue who has recently retired. As well as having a wide experience in criminal law, and in law reform (Professor Waller was a consultant to the Law Reform Commission of Canada between 1974 and 1975), Professor Waller was the foundation president of the Victorian Aboriginal Legal Service. He served in that capacity from July 1972 until April 1974.
