Aboriginal Law Bulletin |
The South Australian Minister for Aboriginal Affairs, Mr Crafter, recently said he looked forward to the day when he could hand his portfolio over to an Aborigine. This was during National Aborigine Week when the Minister was addressing a large crowd which had marched from Adelaide's Victoria Square to Parliament House.
During his speech, according to the Advertiser newspaper, Mr Crafter had said it was time to work towards Aboriginal representation in Parliament and that his job as Minister was made harder because he was not an Aborigine.
