A new Inspector-General of Intelligence and Security

In March 2004 the appointment of Mr Ian Carnell as Inspector-General of Intelligence and Security was announced, following the retirement of Mr Bill Blick PSM. Mr Carnell was previously Deputy Secretary, Criminal Justice and Security, in the Attorney-General’s Department. Mr Blick had served as Inspector-General since 1998. He was also a member of the Administrative Review Council from 1997 to 2003.
