FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ACT 1996 - SECT 37

Payments from territory banking account

    (1)     Unless provided elsewhere under this Act or another territory law, an amount must not be paid out of the territory banking account except under an appropriation to a banking account of a territory entity.

    (2)     This section does not apply to an overdraft or credit facility for a territory authority approved under section 59 (5).

    (3)     Also, an amount paid into the territory banking account by a territory entity that is paid in excess, may be transferred from the territory banking account to the banking account of the territory entity without appropriation.
