FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ACT 1996 - SECT 93

Time and place of governing board meetings

    (1)     Meetings of the governing board of a territory authority are to be held when and where it decides.

    (2)     However, the governing board must meet—

        (a)     at least once every 3 months; or

        (b)     if the establishing Act requires the governing board to meet more frequently—at the times required under the establishing Act.

    (3)     The chair—

        (a)     may at any time call a meeting of the governing board; and

        (b)     must call a meeting if asked by the Minister or at least 2 members.

    (4)     The chair must give the other members reasonable notice of the time and place of a meeting called by the chair.
