HEAVY VEHICLE NATIONAL LAW (ACT) - SECT 84

In this Part—

"modification", of a heavy vehicle, means—

        (a)     the addition of a component to, or the removal of a component from, the vehicle; or

        (b)     a change to the vehicle from the manufacturer's specification for the vehicle;

but does not include a modification to the vehicle that has been approved under the  Road Vehicle Standards Act 2018

, item 16(2) of Schedule 3 to the  Road Vehicle Standards (Consequential and Transitional Provisions) Act 2018

 of the Commonwealth or the  Motor Vehicle Standards Act 1989

 before the repeal of that Act.
