(1) If the appointer is a body, an appointment made by the body does not end only because the membership of the body changes.
(2) If the appointer is the person for the time being occupying a position, an appointment made by the person does not end only because the person ceases to be the occupant of the position.
(3) This section does not limit the following sections:
• section 199 (Functions of bodies)
• section 200 (Functions of occupants of positions).
