LEGISLATION ACT 2001 - SECT 8

Meaning of subordinate law

    (1)     A subordinate law is a regulation or rule (whether or not legislative in nature) made under—

        (a)     an Act; or

        (b)     another subordinate law; or

        (c)     power given by an Act or subordinate law and also power given otherwise by law.

    (2)     A reference to a "subordinate law" includes a reference to a provision of a subordinate law.
