(1) This section applies if a provision of a law is relocated (with or without changes) to a different place in the same law or to a different law.
(2) The operation or meaning of the provision is not affected only because of the provision's relocation.
(3) Without limiting subsection (2), if before its relocation the provision was to be interpreted in a particular way, it is to be interpreted in that way in its new location.
(4) However, the provision has effect subject to any changes made to, or in relation to, it.
(5) This section is a determinative provision.
