Australian Capital Territory Numbered Acts Australian Capital Territory Numbered Acts(1) If the council receives a cancellation proposal about a place or object, it must decide whether to cancel the registration of the place or object in accordance with the proposal.
(2) The council may cancel the registration only if satisfied, on reasonable grounds, that the place or object no longer has heritage significance.
